Marodoka Village

The first village of Nosy Be, which over the centuries welcomed traders from India and the Arabs, all attracted by the culture and historical richness of the place. This tour allows you to immerse yourself in the Sakalava culture and discover the ancestral riches and traditions of Nosy Be.

Hell Ville

Located in the south of Nosy Be, Hell Ville is the capital of this archipelago. It is a port city. With its old cannons, the port is one of the places that gives the city its charm.
A visit to the covered market, built during the colonial era, is a must to admire the local population and to enjoy the spices and artisanal products such as hand-carved wooden and stone kitchen utensils.

Andilana Beach

With its calm and beauty, Andilana Beach is an excellent place to relax. You can admire the beauty of Nosy Be art: paintings, embroidery, wood carving, and more.

Mont Passot(PDF)

Imagine yourself safe and secure at an altitude of over 300 meters, overlooking Nosy Be and its archipelago with a 360-degree view. Even better, imagine ending your day there admiring a magnificent sunset.

Lemuria Land (PDF)

What makes this park so beautiful is the different types of lemurs found there, but there are also fish, crocodiles, birds, snakes, chameleons, and turtles.

Visit the ylang-ylang distillery. A tree, native to the Philippines and introduced to Nosy Be at the end of the 19th century, has a delicately aromatic flower whose distillation produces a whole range of high-quality essences used particularly in fine perfumery.

Mahatsinjo Sacred Tree(PDF)

There are three sacred trees on Nosy Be, but the largest is Mahatsinjo. It is a historical, cultural, and religious site located 2.5 km south of the capital, Hell-ville. Its history dates back to 1837, when Queen Sakalava Tsiomeko took refuge near Mahatsinjo in Nosy Be after being driven out by the Merina Queen Ranavalona I. The Hindu delegation that came to visit the queen gave her a gift of a Ficus Benghalensis bud, or banyan tree, which she ordered to be planted. It became a doany for the Sakalava, a place of worship and prayer. Today, the tree has spread over 5,000 m², developing a multitude of branches, vines, and roots.

Ampombilava

A landscape of rice paddies and plantations.

Djabala

Mangrove forest, lake called "Soldier's Lake" which is said to be haunted.

Nosy Be Museum

Opened in 2019, this museum traces the entire history of Nosy Be. It houses impressive historical artifacts.

Sacred Bemazava Tree
